I live in Bochum (Ruhrpott, Germany). A big part of my life is spending time with my 8-year-old daughter and my patchwork family – exploring and discovering new things together.
Professionally, I’m passionate about leadership and have been working as a manager for many years. My focus is always on people: on my teams, their development, and on building strong collaboration across departments. My leadership style is situational – finding the right balance between guidance and ownership. At the same time, I make sure that projects deliver measurable results and reach a successful conclusion.
I enjoy working with agile methods to create organizations with a high level of ownership and responsibility. Agility, to me, is not about following a rigid doctrine but about staying pragmatic, focused on delivering the most value, and fostering continuous learning.
Over the years, I have built departments and project organizations, developed strategies, and turned visions into concrete outcomes. I see IT organizations not as an end in themselves but as partners in achieving the goals of a company and its customers.
Outside of work, I enjoy cycling, collecting retro gaming consoles, and exploring new technologies and the opportunities they create. I’m also a Whisky Ambassador and certified Beer Sommelier – and I write about beer on my blog @hopfenfreuden.
